Hi Martha.
It is also one of mine. I knew Patti quite well and also Pete Beardsley who was driving. I will never, ever forget going to school the first time after she died. I loved her dad, our school custodian and I stood there asking myself why this had to happen to her and such a loss for her parents.
Yes, it is episcopal. I had forgotten. I think the lights in it were donated in memory of Patti. I used to go to the cemetary and visit her grave.
I know Hugh very well and spent many saturday nights playing spin the bottle in their barn. He was in our class. Such great parties and such great fun. His parents were lovely as is Hugh. He has had his own journey with cancer. I know for a time he wanted to make an inn out of his home but could not get the zoning for the breakfast. To all of us, it will always be the Karaker home.
Such a small world and so many memories. I cannot believe how long ago that was when Patti died. I remember it so vividly.
Your dad was a great comfort to all of us at the time even though it was not even my church I never forgot him and how wonderful he was to me and many others.
Give him a hug from me. Tell him his legacy has not been forgotten.
Mary
