HI --

I downloaded this and tried to run without realizing I only had JRE 1.6.  Upgraded to 1.7, but it just opens a blank sheet, and no way to make any documents.

??

Hi David,

I would advice you to re-install Joeffice once you've installed Java 7.

Hello Anthony,

unfortunately it doesnt work even if I do reinstall. On startup is Joeffice not recognizing installed Oracle Java 7, just Apples old Java 6... and wont load some modules. It is not easy to uninstall Apples Java once installed, so for now is Joeffice for me unusable, as probably for most of us running osx.

Thx,
Peter

Seems to be ok after I installed Oracle JDK for osx. JRE is not sufficient to run Joeffice...

That is good news ... which JDK did you install?  with Netbeans?

Thanks,
David

Still not working for me.  I do get the web browser, but no other Joeffice apps.

Here's the info from Joeffice:
Product Version: Joeffice 0.5 (Build 201302132200)
  Java: 1.7.0_21; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.21-b01
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.7.0_21-b12
  System: Mac OS X version 10.8.3 running on x86_64; US-ASCII; en_US (joeffice)

I installed JDK witout Netbeans, and then with Netbeans, and tried reinstalling Joeffice after deleting the Application Support/Joeffice directories.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
David

I have some functionality... I can open new files of different types.  Obviously a work in progress.
