Subject: How to insert formula in Joeffice spreadsheet cell?
I downloaded and installed Joeffice yesterday on OS X (Lion) and I created a new spreadsheet document using the Joeffice UI, but I couldn't figure out how to do something as basic as add the contents of two cells and display the result in a different cell e.g. in cell A3 have a formula/expression such as =A1+A2
When I did enter an expression like =A1+A2 in a Joeffice spreadsheet cell the result was just the text of the formula (but when I do the same thing in Excel I get the expected result of A1 + A2).
I've never heard of a spreadsheet that couldn't do calculations, maybe Joeffice is not working properly on a Mac or maybe the Joeffice spreadsheet does not support entering a formula through the UI yet.
Any advice on how to get the Joeffice spreadsheet UI to actually do something like calculate the sum of two cells would be appreciated.
