Hello as usual the answer is, if OpenOffice/LibreOffice can do it, jodconverter can do it. So try this conversion with your own OpenOffice application, if it works, it will also with JodConverter.

BTW you shoud read the FAQ http://code.google.com/p/jodconverter/wiki/FAQ you will find valuable informations.

Use Saaspose Word converter to convert your .doc file to .docx and to many other formats.
