I'm re-posting this as the wonderful old laptop I generously received from Georgia has a problem I can't overcome.  If anyone might have a "transformer" type A.C. adapter for a Toshiba laptop, 19V, I might still get it going.  In the meantime I'm hoping there's another desktop or laptop computer out there from someone who's upgraded.

I have an opportunity to work with a Dyslexic girl who is being discarded by the public school system here in Joco.  To be fair, the Municipio is just not set up handle special needs children.

What I need is a computer I can dedicate to her education.  Doesn't matter if it's a desktop or notebook, what is important is that it have at least a 2.0Ghz microprocessor and hopefully can support Windows 7.   Monitor, keyboard, mouse, none of these are a necessity, but one can never have too many.

I'm willing to make a small $$$ investment in this computer, but the cheaper the better.  I would find  donation acceptable. <humor>

If anyone has any other input on working with a special needs child I would appreciate it.  I'm strictly winging it!

Gracias muchly,
Mike Osborn
