I have an opportunity to work with a Dyslexic Mexican girl who is being discarded by the public school system here in Joco.  To be fair, the Municipio is just not set up handle special needs children.

What I need is a computer I can dedicate to her education.  Doesn't matter if it's a desktop or notebook, what is important is that it have at least a 2.0Ghz microprocessor so that it can support Windows 7.   Monitor, keyboard, mouse, none of these are a necessity, but one can never have too many.

I'm willing to make a small $$$ investment in this computer, but the cheaper the better.  I would find  donation acceptable. <humor>

If anyone has any other input on working with a special needs child I would appreciate it.  I'm strictly winging it!

Gracias muchly,
Mike Osborn

I have an older Toshiba laptop you can have for free. It doesn't have the up to date systems, etc. but it has always worked like a charm. If you can erase info on my hard drive (I can no longer see the screen on this computer) I have some legal files that need to be kept private) it's all your ... or hers... as the case may be.

I am dyslexic by the way and with persistence it can be overcome and become an advantage.

They are not making any more todays. Today is the only day you've got for sure .... what are you going to do with it?
