Ultitude’s Weekly Digest

Your weekly update!

Everything you need to know that’s Ultitude related

What’s been happening at Ultitude

Ultitude took part in Roctober this weekend. We had a team of 15 individuals who all played hard for their team and managed to win 3 out of 6 games in total, ranking us 10th overall.
The scoreboard isn't always the best depiction of the game and despite only winning half the games there was some iconic play. Layout D's , one-hand catches, some smooth hucks and steady short play made the games entertaining to watch.
Thanks goes out to all those who played this weekend, to everyone involved in coaching and managing the team and a special thanks to our Chairperson, Devin, who gave up his time prior to the event to organize coaching and doing the admin so that Roctober would be possible.

An added thanks goes out to the organizers of Roctober for putting in all the hard work to make Rocotber a great tournament , without you it would not be possible and Ultitude appreciates your effort!
We look forward to next years Roctober, remembering that, "It doesn't get easier - you get better" and hoping to move up in the ranks next time.

Weekly Rule

  1. 17. Fouls

    1. 17.1. Dangerous Play:
    2. 17.1.1. Reckless disregard for the safety of fellow players is considered dangerous play and is to be treated as a foul, regardless of whether or when contact occurs.  This rule is not superseded by any other rule. If uncontested this must be treated as the most relevant foul from Section 17.
    3. 17.2. Defensive Receiving (Defender) Fouls:
    4. 17.2.1. A Defensive Receiving Foul occurs when a defender initiates contact with a receiver before, while, or directly after, either player makes a play on the disc.
    5. 17.2.2. After an uncontested defensive receiving foul the receiver gains possession at the point of the breach. If 14.2 applies, the disc is dead until a pivot is established at the nearest point of the goal line. If the foul is contested, the disc is returned to the thrower.
