Join for a photowalk from at St John’s College in Houghton Estate at 3pm and then End of Year party in Norwood from 6pm till late.

Explore the gounds of St John’s College.
Meet in the parking area at 3pm.
St Johns Rd, Houghton Estate, Johannesburg

The renowned architect Herbert Baker was appointed to design the new school buildings which occupy 56 acres on Houghton Ridge. The first blocks used were of rough-hewn quartzite quarried on the site, but subsequently rock was sourced from Krugersdorp and hand-chased by Maltese craftsmen. The school is arranged around a number of quadrangles, each with its cloisters.

Come and join us for an ‘End of Year Shindig’.

Party at Jane’s place from 6pm till late… bring your dancing shoes!

Bring a few of your favourite photos from the year and we’ll make a plan to have them displayed throughout the evening.

Bring a plate of eats, your drinks and a cossie and towel if you are feeling brave for a swim! (Don’t forget your towel)

For catering purposes, please let us know what you're thinking of bringing so we can coordinate that we don't end up with ten plates of the same thing.

 

Also bring photos on a flash disk or CD. We'll have a data projector setup.

If you missed the St John's walk, we could get access to visit again in December.

 

We were going to put out a photomarathon event with Babak Fakhamzadeh, who is only in town for the next 2 weeks and has coordinated photomarathon events in Joburg around 2007.

 

Date was going to be 10 or 11 Dec, but realised it the same weekend as the Canon Expo, so not a good date and this weekend is probably a bit too short notice.
