Internships may be used to receive college credit. Placement is based on the application and a phone interview. All academic majors are encouraged to apply. Candidates for internships should possess a general knowledge of LGBT issues and the American electoral process. Potential interns must have completed at least one year of college and have abilities in oral and written communication.
All interns receive a modest stipend. Our office is located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., just steps from the White House, Dupont Circle and the Metro’s Blue, Orange, and Silver lines.
Position Overview
The Intern position will support all members of the Communications team. They will become familiar with all aspects of internal and external communications and direct marketing in a non-profit and political environment; as well as learn technical skills ranging from database management to online organizing.
