Espy for Senate- Director of Scheduling and Operations

The Espy for Senate campaign is looking for a director of scheduling and operations for the 2020 campaign. This is a senior level position on the campaign that will help coordinated travel for the candidate and logistical operations internally. 

In a 2018 special election, Mike Espy raised over $7million in less than eight months in the most competitive state wide race Mississippi had seen in over two decades. Mike Espy is the DSCC endorsed candidate in the race and has already begun outraising Cindy Hyde-Smith. The campaign is looking for a highly organized individual to lead its scheduling and operations department.

Responsibilities

• Managing Mike Espy’s calendar by leading team meetings and coordinating with other departments to meet the needs of the candidate and the campaign

• Working with the campaign manager to manage the campaign budget

• Booking travel and managing travel budget for candidate and staff

• Coordinating operational support for the finance team including working with compliance consultant

• Orchestrating logistical support for the campaign team.

Qualifications

• At least one previous cycle on a campaign preferably in scheduling or operations

• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including attention to detail.

• Ability to travel and work weekends and nights as needed

• Position is based in Jackson, MS

• Strong organizational skills

• Good sense of humor and ability to be flexible with changing schedules

• Experience with NGP and Gsuite a plus
