Deputy Field Director

Skillful is a new initiative, sponsored by the Markle Foundation, in partnership with LinkedIn, the State of Colorado, Arizona State University, and others. Skillful connects job seekers, training providers and employers to create a transparent, real-time digital labor market. In so doing, Skillful aims to help job seekers begin or continue on their career paths by connecting them with sustainable careers in growing industries that are hiring based on skills.

Precision Strategies, working alongside Markle in this initiative, is seeking to hire a Deputy Field Director, who will support the Colorado ground team. We are looking for a passionate, hard working, and dynamic organizer to help build and implement the program that recruits and empowers these job seekers.

In this role the Deputy Field Director will be responsible for building and conducting an outreach program to key community partners and employers in Colorado to maximize their engagement with the platform. In addition, the Deputy Field Director will manage and augment the job seeker outreach conducted by Skillful Field Organizers.

Responsibilities

· Recruit and engage key community partners and employers with the Skillful platform.

· Build local relationships within targeted communities and with targeted audiences.

· Create and conduct an outreach campaign to key community organizations and employers.

· Implement the data-driven field organizing strategy to reach job seekers and empower them to improve their career pathways through use of the Skillful platform.

· Drive traffic to the Skillful online platform and to Skillful events and resources.

· Represent the Skillful effort at public events and settings.

· Organize and manage execution of outreach events.

· Maintain accountability and metrics of success through rigorous tracking and testing of engagement.



Qualifications

· Someone who is eager and able to represent the overall effort and partner organizations in public settings to engage all levels of participation with the program.

· A leader with a demonstrated history of organizing, leading and motivating a team in the field.

· A collaborative team player who can drive to solutions and rapidly effectuate change in a flexible and rapidly changing environment.

· A clear and articulate communicator with strong listening skills, who is invested in connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and activating them through this effort.

· A charismatic people person with a sincere passion for connecting people with inspiring jobs and helping them improve their career pathways.

· Ability to organize the logistics of events and implement them effectively.

· Ability to manage the collection of data in a regular and organized fashion.

· Spanish language proficiency a significant plus.
