Position Overview:
The Digital Director is responsible for building dynamic and compelling digital content programs on the ground in key primary and battleground states. The Digital Director reports to the State Director. The ideal candidate is tenacious and organized, with the ability to both collaborate effectively across departments and work autonomously on various projects.
This person will:
- Develop and create content both for state social properties and organization-wide channels that helps show the grassroots energy of the campaign.
- Train campaign staff and volunteers in key digital best practices and support a culture of integrated digital collaboration.
- Serve as the main point of contact between your state and the HQ digital team.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Experience in digital campaigning and content development, whether within an electoral campaign or at a creative agency.
- Mastery of social media, from audience development to content creation, and a grasp on the relative advantages and drawbacks of new and emerging platforms (e.g. TikTok).
- Exceptional written skills and an ability to moderate tone of voice across different platforms.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple competing projects at once, succeed in a fast-paced environment, and learn new skills on the go.
