Job Opening: Finance Director (Atlanta, GA)
The Democratic Party of Georgia Coordinated Campaign is seeking a full-time Finance Director to work to elect Stacey Abrams, Sarah Riggs Amico and Democrats across Georgia. The Finance Director must be a true proactive catalyst in starting up programs and making change and progress happen quickly.
The Finance Director oversees the fundraising operation for the coordinated campaign and will report to the Senior Strategist of the Coordinated Campaign and the Executive Director. The Finance Director is responsible for developing, refining, and executing existing and new finance plans, building and developing a staff, intern and volunteer fundraising team, managing call time for the candidate and surrogates, coordinating national and state fundraising events, building and maintaining strategic relationships, and planning and overseeing low dollar programs such as direct mail, digital, and other low dollar operations. The Director will work closely with the Abrams and Amico campaign and other Democratic campaigns for state office.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Term: Immediately through November 2018
Salary: $7000-7500 monthly salary based on experience
Benefits: This position comes with the standard package of benefits an employee of DPG receives which includes health insurance. DPG will provide more details.
Duties of the Finance Manager include:
· Ensure that all contributions are processed in conjunction with Compliance team
· Develop and execute call time systems for Party Executive Director and Party Chair and other stakeholders
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
· At least 2 cycles of campaign fundraising experience including staff and principal management
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Working knowledge of NGP and Microsoft Office Suite
· Familiarity with ACT Blue and other fundraising platforms
· Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet and exceed goals
· Willingness to take feedback, learn and develop your own skills to achieve desired outcomes
· Ability to manage details and stay on top of multiple tasks in a high-intensity environment
· Maintain confidentiality and discretion while modeling professional best practices
