One of the nation's largest advocacy organizations for drug policy reform and abolition of the failed war on drugs is looking to expand operations and accelerate progress toward fair and just sentencing reforms.
We are creating a variety of positions, all of which require commitment, passion and experience - personal and/or professional - in the fields of criminal justice reform, mass incarceration and overcrowding, and fair sentencing reform.
Specific professional experience in advocacy, organizing, communications/digital and coalition building - and your demonstrated ability to achieve goals and measured progress -- is fundamental to each position.
We want to hear from change agents who want to apply their talents to the drug policy reform movement. Please respond to this posting with your resume of experience and a cover letter outlining your qualifications and specific skills platform from which you could effect change working with a national drug policy reform organization.
There is broad-based, bipartisan support for overturning mandatory minimums, treatment not prison and addressing abominable incarceration conditions. How will you go to work to make it happen?
Please send a letter of interest describing your experience and proposing how you would apply it towards drug sentencing reform, along with a resume of your work experience that demonstrates how you’ve used those skills to effect change, to Jo...@DemocracyPartners.com
Sorry, we cannot respond to inquiries without those materials submitted. This is a process that will likely take a few months, so the sooner you submit your materials the more consideration it will receive in determining the positions to be created, so we look forward to hearing from you soon.
