NJ Congressional Hiring Communications Assistant

[NJ Campaign 2020]

Competitive New Jersey Congressional Race is hiring a Communications Assistant as soon as possible. Communications Assistant will work under the direction of the Campaign Manager. We are looking for a self-starter who’s ready to hit the ground running and develop and complete projects on their own. A sense of humor, adaptability, and the ability to multitask is essential.

Responsibilities: 

-Draft press releases 

-Create curated social media content 

-Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)

-Create and pitch earned media stories

-Develop a letter to the editor program

-Assist with drafting messaging points and speeches  

-Other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

-Ability to work weekends and long hours 

-Ability to work in a fast pace environment and meet all assigned deadlines 

-Access to a car, laptop, and cell phone

-Must be willing to relocate to New Jersey

-Must be able to start by March 2nd, 2020
