OUR ORGANIZATION AT-A-GLANCE:
- We manage the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ $27 million Juvenile Justice Pay for Success Initiative – the largest PFS contract in the country.
- We helped launch the nation’s first county-level PFS project in Cuyahoga County, OH (Cleveland), as the government advisor and transaction coordinator.
- Our team’s work has been published or cited in the Economist, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and employees have presented at a variety of conferences including the White House, Harvard Business School, and international events like SOCAP.
ABOUT THE SOCIAL INNOVATION FUND
Third Sector is a proud grantee of the Corporation for National and Community Service's (CNCS) Social Innovation Fund (SIF) program. The SIF, a key White House initiative, combines public and private resources to grow the impact of innovative, community-based solutions that have compelling evidence of improving the lives of people in low-income communities throughout the United States.
Our goal for this three-year, $1.9 million dollar grant is to accelerate the development of PFS projects across multiple levels of government nationwide and to share lessons learned with a broad community of stakeholders to increase adoption of evidence-based policymaking. To achieve this we will hold an annual competition to select Sub-Recipients – high-performing, high-potential social initiatives – that are positioned to scale with financial and capacity-building support derived from this fund.
ABOUT THE ROLE: SOCIAL INNOVATION FUND OPERATIONS MANAGER
As the SIF Operations Manager you will make sure our i’s are dotted, t’s are crossed, our ducks are in a row, and the boxes are checked. Your contribution to Third Sector’s operational objectives will be vital to the success of the SIF and will directly advance both the firm and the PFS field. You will primarily be focused on the financial and programmatic support for the SIF grant – a critical element of our business – by monitoring all Federal grant compliance and reporting for our Sub-Recipients.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE...
Compliance and Reporting
- Granting and reporting compliance processes for all SIF projects, including creating usable systems for accessing information, criminal history checks, and follow-up documentation.
- Working closely with the Director of Finance & Operations and the SIF Director to coordinate and ensure timely and accurate compliance and reporting as required by the Social Innovation Fund Grant and CNCS federal requirements.
- Supporting Third Sector’s reporting, invoicing and compliance requirements for projects with other SIF grantees.
SIF Financial & Programmatic Support
- Organizing and maintaining materials around contracts, amendments, and onboarding processes
- Preparing and managing financial statements, budget sheets, and special reports to be presented both internally and externally for all SIF Sub-recipients, CNCS, and auditors.
- Providing programmatic support for SIF, including scheduling and running webinars, managing competition email accounts, outreach, and large-scale communications
- Coordinating SIF project-related administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, preparation of meeting materials and coordinating larger meeting location, conference line, and attendee logistics, and presentations

- 3-5 years work experience, including at least 2 years of Federal grant compliance experience.
- Experience working with financial statements, large data sets, and economic modeling.
- Experience working with a variety of cloud based tools.
- A strong analytical and quantitative skill set.
- Rigorous attention to detail and high quality standards to their work.
