Description:
The Travis County Democratic Party is launching the 2020 Coordinated Campaign. The Coordinated Campaign is an opportunity for us to pool resources to maximize our efforts for voter registration and turning out voters by working closely with candidates, elected officials, and allied organizations toward our electoral goals.
The Coordinated Campaign Manager will be an integral part of the 2020 Travis County Coordinated Campaign. The Coordinated Campaign Manager will help inform the overall campaign strategy, serve as a project manager with campaign vendors, and manage the field team including paid canvassers, organizers, and volunteer leaders.
The Coordinated Campaign Manager reports to the Executive Director and Chair.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provides direction, management, and leadership to Campaign Staff
Sets and ensures that TCDP Coordinated Campaign goals for voter contact are met, including: Voter registration, door knocks, phone calls, volunteer recruitment and team building, and other metrics as assigned.
Works with the Chair, Executive Director and other staff to effectively communicate the goals and objectives of the Coordinated Campaign to stakeholders
Meets with stakeholders, including elected officials, candidates, and allied organizations on a regular basis to coordinate plans and provide updates
Works with candidates and the state party to develop the county level campaign strategy in support of the statewide coordinated campaign
Assists the Chair in fundraising and donor communication
Manages and collaborates with volunteers and precinct chairs
Serves as a spokesperson in the community for TCDP and the Coordinated Campaign
Organizes and attends TCDP campaign and organizing events
Monitors and ensures that the campaign stays within the budget
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A strong commitment to Democratic ideals, including grassroots organizing and community empowerment
2 or more cycles of campaign field and communications experience
Expertise using the Voter Activation Network (VAN) to track, report and analyze voter contact data
Experience managing a field program, with both paid staff and volunteers, and organizing volunteers
Exceptional skills in diplomacy, negotiation, consensus building, and relationship development
Strong public speaking skills
Strong organizational skills
Comfortable working long, irregular hours for Democratic candidates and causes
Benefits:
Salary range $7,000-8,500 monthly through December 15, 2020, commensurate with experience, this position includes health insurance.
