The Utah Democratic Party is seeking a Latino Outreach Organizer to work with a highly targeted congressional race . We are seeking someone to start ASAP and work through November 15, 2016. The person who fills this role will be charged with implementing an aggressive, persuasion-based field plan and activating a targeted number of Latino voters both for registration and civic engagement.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to engage in direct voter contact, specifically canvasses and phone banks.
• Identifying community stakeholders and securing validators for the campaign.
• Timely and accurate data entry and metrics reporting.
• Registration drives in targeted areas of the district, responsible for delivering on specific goals and metrics
• Translations and social media outreach

Qualifications

• High-energy, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, with the ability to meet goals and strict deadlines.
• Responsive to constructive criticism.
• Commitment to electing Democrats.
• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends. This is not a 9-5 job.
• Car and a valid driver’s license is required.
• Bilingual capabilities, both English and Spanish
