Who We Are
We are Capitol Compliance Associates, a campaign compliance consulting firm.  Our clients include high profile Democratic Senate, House, and gubernatorial candidates as well as several independent expenditure committees and nonprofit organizations.

Purpose
We are seeking a dependable self-starter who is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and trustworthy.  The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly both verbally and in writing is required. Prior compliance experience is required.  This position is responsible for intermediate level tasks associated with compliance, financial management, bookkeeping, and committee operations to ensure clients are in accordance with campaign finance and tax regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Banking
             Reconcile with bank statement
Contributions
            Process, enter, and review data
            Reconcile financial statements
            Review and edit spreadsheets
            Safe harbor review
Disbursements
            Enter and review data
             Manage accounts payable
             Cut checks
Financial Management
             Reconcile financial statement to NGP and/or Quicken/QuickBooks
Reports
            Create cash-on-hand reports
             Create income reports
            Run data integrity reports
Communications
            Correspond on clients’ behalf
            Facilitate communication with vendors and donor as a representative of the client
Training
             Train and oversee associate staff

Education and Knowledge
The successful candidate holds a degree from a four-year college or has comparable experience and is able to pass a pre-employment background check.  The ideal candidate is familiar with campaign finance and regulations.

Basic and Technical Skills
T
he ideal candidate is a dependable self-starter who is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and trustworthy.  S/he is professional and can communicate effectively with clients and peers. Prior compliance experience is required.  Some experience delegating to junior staff is preferred but not required.

Computer and Software Skills
The ideal candidate is proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and has experience working with NGP-Van, Quicken, Quickbooks, and Netfile.  The firm uses MS 365 and SharePoint, prior experience is not required but a plus.
