Fundraising Associate for Campaign Finance Firm – Western Pennsylvania

MFStrategies, LLC is looking to hire a new Finance Associate to help maintain current accounts in Western Pennsylvania and grow our profile in the region.
About the Job
Day to day responsibilities will include building and implementing campaign finance plans for clients, managing candidate call time/follow-up, managing fundraiser logistics (host coordination, guest list development, RSVP tracking, processing contributions, pledge follow-up, etc.), and conducting relevant research for donor information. We’re a small company, so other tasks might be assigned to you on an as needed basis.
This is a “seasonal” job, so you’ll be part of our team until December 31, 2018. In the past, we’ve been able to grow and make seasonal hires part of our permanent staff, so it is possible the position will be extended through 2019.
The position’s responsibilities will primarily be in Western Pennsylvania with regular travel to Harrisburg (2 to 4 times a month). Expect to start between March 5, 2018 and March 19, 2018.
About You
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated campaign finance professional with 1 to 3 prior cycles of campaign experience.
Our internal donor research is stored in NGP and we encourage all of our clients to also get subscriptions, so experience with at least NGP 7 is required. Experience with NGP 8 is a huge plus. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel will be helpful and be sure to let us know if you have any experience writing computer code (any language).
Above all, be willing to learn new skills and be open to approaching common problems in new ways.
