Vangie Williams is looking for motivated field staff to help with her historic bid to become the first woman of color to ever represent Virginia in Congress. We’re running a grassroots campaign built around cutting-edge technology and a people-first strategy. Now we need committed activists to be a part of our field program and community outreach.
Field organizers report directly to the Field Director, and are responsible for implementing and executing the field plan for their geographic region of the congressional district. This includes recruiting, training and managing a team of volunteers that will perform voter contact necessary to win. Field organizers are the heart and soul of any field program and must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a team of volunteers for their discrete geographic area. They are responsible for training volunteers, coaching them to do their work effectively, and holding them accountable to reporting their results. Additionally, organizers will be required to make calls, knock on doors, and enter data.
Previous organizing experience is a plus. Excellent administrative and organizational skills, patience and ability to work with all kinds of people required. Organizers must be willing to relocate to VA-1. Must have access to a car, and available to work most nights and weekends.
