Regional Organizing Director


The Fair Shot Texas PAC is a Texas general purpose political action committee under the leadership of the Texas AFL-CIO and supporting labor allies working to advance a pro-working family agenda in the 2020 election cycle. The PAC will engage in direct voter contact with an emphasis on key Texas legislative races.


The Fair Shot Texas PAC is currently accepting applications for the role of Regional Organizing Director to lead a team of remote organizers in achieving voter contact goals this cycle. RODs will report to the Voter Contact Director. There are various positions available around the state, and RODs may work remotely. This is a cycle position and employment will conclude on November 15, 2020. There should be no assumption of employment extending beyond November 2020.

 

The Regional Organizing Director salary will be $5,500/ month plus benefits, a monthly tech stipend, paid time off for federal holidays and flexible PTO. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of Remote Organizers

  • Provide daily trainings and implement quality control measures

  • Work with the Voter Contact Director and the Data Director to provide phone, text, and digital voter contact lists

  • Ensure voter contact data is entered in the LAN on a daily basis

  • Engage in daily voter contact 

  • Other duties as assigned.



Desired Qualifications:

  • 1 cycle of experience in organizing or as a canvass lead

  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment, and meet tight timelines

  • Practice managing multiple competing priorities at the same time

  • Passion for working to elect labor endorsed candidates to the Texas House of Representatives
