Finance Director for Congressional Campaign

Energetic motivated campaign seeks finance staffer to head up fundraising efforts in a newly redistricted congressional race.  The candidate is a Roosevelt Democrat dedicated to raising the funds needed to remove a notorious Tea Party extremist. This is one candidate you will never have to beg to get on the phones for call time.

 

Responsibilities include:

— Execute all aspects of a finance plan - including call time, events, house parties, low & high dollar fundraising and PACs

— Manage 2 Finance Interns and work with campaign compliance person on FEC reports

— Work with the campaign manager to coordinate campaign activities with cash flow

— Staff candidate at finance related events as necessary

— Prepare call sheets for the candidate and campaign manager

— Identify new donor prospects

— Manage prospects and donor follow-up

— Write campaign solicitations - both mail and online appeals

Desired qualifications:

— Must have at least one cycle of previous fundraising experience

— Willing to work campaign hours

— Aware of details and executes follow-up on all activities 

— Highly organized self-starter who is able to multi-task

— Cheerful Willingness to work with campaign staff.

— Familiarity with NGP and VAN (Votebuilder)

— Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Drive applications

— Strong written communication skills

Bonus Points for hiring:

— Previous experience with graphic design tools

— Fluent in Spanish
