Center for Community Change Action is the 501(c)(4) sister organization of the Center for Community Change. CCCAction’s mission is to build the power and capacity of low-income people, especially low-income people of color, to change their communities and public policies for the better. Right now, CCCAction is empowering the people most affected by injustice to lead movements to improve the policies that affect their lives. Our focus areas include jobs and wages, immigration, retirement security, affordable housing, racial justice and barriers to employment for formerly incarcerated individuals. Position Description:
The Center for Community Change (CCC) is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Human Resources professional to serve in the capacity of Deputy Director of Human Resources. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this integral member of the Operations Team will assist in developing and implementing Human Resources programs and initiatives that align with CCC’s strategic goals and support a culture that emphasizes empowerment for all employees. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational skills. Under the general direction of the Human Resources Director, the Deputy Director of Human Resources will assist with the overall leadership and guidance, development and execution of the Human Resources function in accordance with management principles and overall objectives of the organization and unit. The Deputy Director of Human Resources develops strategic partnerships throughout the organization to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect organizational goals and objectives.
A portion of time will be spent doing work for CCC's sister organization, the Center for Community Change Action.

Qualifications:
· Demonstrated ability to contribute to changes in Human Resources programs and service delivery by utilizing strategies such as partnering, strategic planning, metrics and technology to achieve successful change
· In-depth understanding of the alignment of the Human Resources function with organizational strategy
· Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills
· Knowledge of research methods; insurance benefits and position classification
· Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required
· Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; demonstrates strong group presentation skills
· Ability to perform effectively and maintain composure under competing and/or conflicting priorities and demands on time
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in pursuing departmental responsibilities
· Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully
· Demonstrates commitment to CCC’s mission and values
