A Virginia House of Delegates campaign seeks a Petition Coordinator to help defend a competitive seat in Southwest Virginia. 


The Petition Coordinator  will:


  • Manage the campaign’s petition gathering program to ensure Delegate Hurst qualifies for the ballot.

  • In accordance with state and local regulations, canvass and attend necessary events to obtain signatures to ensure Delegate Hurst qualifies for the ballot. 

  • Recruit a team of campaign volunteers and interns. 

  • Manage and develop tools for direct voter contact. This should include mechanisms for relational organizing.  

  • Track and report progress toward volunteer recruitment and petition signatures on a daily and weekly basis. 

  • Coach volunteers and interns on the best practices for organizing voters and other potential volunteers. 


Qualified candidates must have:

  • Minimum of 1 full cycle of a campaign as a Field Organizer or similar role. 

  • Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, and Vote Builder.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to balance competing tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including some nights and weekends.

Salary: $4,000-$4,500 Depending On Experience.
