Competitive NYC Area Congressional Race Seeks Finance Director

Progressive, hard-working candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives on Long Island seeking a Finance Director, with room to grow into a campaign manager role. This is a real pick-up opportunity in a Red to Blue district.

The Finance Director will be responsible for writing and implementing an aggressive fundraising plan, managing call-time and setting the fundraising strategy.  In addition, there is room for growth into a campaign manager role.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute fundraising plan

• Manage call time

• Create and manage fundraising events

• Follow up on all fundraising correspondence, pledges and thank you notes

• Build an email list and fundraising solicitations

• Create and implement a strategic online fundraising plan

• Build and maintain existing donor database by identifying and recruiting new donors

• Support other campaign operations as necessary

Qualifications

• At least 1 cycle of campaign fundraising experience or comparable fundraising experience

• Knowledge of NGP and other finance software

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Superior organizational skills, creativity and initiative
