Field Organizer – Top Targeted Statewide CampaignTop
tier statewide campaign in Missouri is seeking full-time Field
Organizers for an aggressive volunteer field operation. Field Organizers
are responsible for building a grassroots network of volunteers capable
of turning out enough voters to deliver the margin of victory within
their assigned region.
Missouri is a perennial battleground and
quintessential field state with a long history of intensive field
campaigns on its statewide campaigns. This state will be a top target
for Democrats and will be receiving national attention from the highest
levels. Working on such a highly competitive race outside the confines
of a national-level operation will allow individuals to prove and
establish themselves for any number of races down the line.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Recruiting
(via direct volunteer recruitment call time), managing, and training
volunteers to participate in direct voter contact activities – namely
canvassing and phonebanking.
- Meeting and exceeding strict daily,
weekly, and monthly goals including volunteer recruitment dials,
volunteer shift recruitment, volunteer shift completion, and volunteer
productivity.
- Preparing all canvass and call materials for volunteer activities.
- Adhering to a strict daily reporting schedule and chain of command.
Qualifications:- Strong
interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to
voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Comfortable doing intensive, direct, volunteer recruitment through individual call time.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
- Basic computer literacy, database skills, and access to a reliable portable computer.
- Reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- One year of campaign experience or community organizing experience preferred but not necessary.
- Knowledge of Votebuilder preferred but not necessary.
