Field Coordinator, Local Issue Based Campaign (San Mateo, CA)

San Mateo County area issue-based campaign is hiring for a Day to Day Field Coordinator. The Paid Day to Day Field Coordinator is full-time and requires work on a daily basis Monday-Thursday, Saturday & Sunday between now and Election Day on November 3rd.  

 

The Coordinator is responsible for:

·      Coordinating efforts of school site volunteer coordinators (one volunteer per school site) so that our goal of “yes” voters identified is reached.

·      Supervising volunteer phone banks, which occur Monday through Thursday evenings 5:30-8:30 pm, Saturdays 10-1, and Sundays 2-8:00

·      Responsible for sending the field report to Consultant and reporting on problems and opportunities as needed.  Along with Campaign Chair, has DAILY interaction with Consultant.

·      Develops motivational measures (accountability procedures) with school site coordinators.

·      Administrative:  keeps thorough list of volunteers; assigns tasks; coordinates volunteer activities; makes sure appropriate/necessary records of volunteer activities are kept.

·      Ultimately responsible for ensuring the “field program” is successful – ability to take daily pressure and work under numerical quotas (numerical goals for reaching certain numbers of identified “yes” supporters by certain dates, will be established on a calendar) is a must. 

·      Achieving voter contact objectives and tracking on a daily basis.

·      Making sure that any problems or opposition activities are communicated to Campaign Consultant.

·      Recruiting volunteers to any major field-oriented, campaign events.

·      Implementing robust GOTV plan.

·      Issuing necessary campaign updates or communications in a timely manner.
