Job Announcement: Union Organizer

SEIU Healthcare 1199NW is looking for people who want to fight alongside our members for better working conditions, dignity on the job and improvements in health care for all working families.

SEIU Healthcare 1199NW is a bold, democratic labor organization with an activist tradition going back to our founding in 1983 by Group Health Cooperative nurses. Today we are the largest health care union in Washington State, with 26,000 members united for quality patient care and good careers in the health care facilities and agencies where we work.

In 2014 & 2015, members of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW will be taking on many exciting fights to win power for working people. Members have approved an ambitious plan to raise standards for working people including: creative contract campaigns with some of the largest health care systems in the state, winning first contracts for over 2000 newly organized members and championing efforts to pass nurse staffing legislation and common sense immigration reform.

SEIU Healthcare 1199NW is a statewide organization with positions available in both internal and external organizing departments.
