Regional Field Organizers Wanted!
A progressive New Hampshire campaign is seeking Regional Field Organizers!
We need self-starters, who are smart and aggressive, keep up with current events, and are looking to better their communities. These positions offer entrepreneurial challenges with considerable opportunities for professional growth, as well as the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society.
Responsibilities may include:
• Conduct follow-up recruitment conversations with community members who have expressed interest in joining the Family Friendly Economy campaign.
• Organize and develop volunteers through 1:1 conversations and training.
• Assist volunteer leaders with the planning and execution of House Meetings.
• Advance events and develop turnout plans for volunteers, organizers, and surrogates.
• Meet daily reporting and data entry deadlines
• Organize regular reporting conference calls
• Train and manage volunteers
Candidates should possess previous field organizing experience, a strong commitment to progressive ideals and issues, excellent personal, verbal and written communication skills, and the flexibility and temperament to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing political environment.
Candidates should also possess:
• Political campaign experience in support of an issue, initiative, or candidate campaign
• Experience using NGP VAN/VoteBuilder
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Goal-orientation and willingness to hold self accountable
• Excellent personal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work quickly and cooperatively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well with coalitions and the staff and leadership of allied organizations
• Energetic outlook and commitment to the mission and grassroots approach to change
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends on a regular basis
• A team orientation that combines collegiality and creativity to drive and motivate others
• Candidates for this position should have one or more years of relevant professional experience.
