Congressional Campaign Manager Position - Simmons Campaign

CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Lindsey Simmons is running a competitive race in Missouri’s Fourth District. The team has an immediate need for an experienced campaign manager.  The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of Missouri and Missouri politics as well as experience working in rural areas. 

 

Duties

·      Manage the execution of the campaign strategy, plan, and budget that center on a robust data-backed, people-powered grassroots campaign.

·      Oversees daily operations of the campaign (finance, press, field, research, new media, scheduling, event planning, and compliance), including logistics and management of the candidate’s schedule.

·      Develop a budget, track cash flow, and ensure campaign is staying on budget.

·      Build and maintain relationships with local Democratic elected officials, party leaders, grassroots activists and volunteers.

·      Work with candidate and consultants to create compelling mail, TV ads, and digital creative.

·      Recruit, hire and manage outstanding volunteers and staff.

·      Assist finance team and Treasurer with FEC reporting and compliance.

 

 

Required Skills

·      Previous experience managing congressional campaigns required.

·      Experience in multiple facets of a campaign including field and communications. 

·      Willingness to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends.  

·      Knowledge of NGP VAN, VoteBuilder, ActBlue.

·      Superior project and people management skills.

·      Ability to problem-solve independently and take creative approaches to meeting goals.

·      Strong interpersonal communications skills and possess the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.

·      Must be well-organized, professional, and punctual.

·      Able to function well in high-stress situations.

·      Willing to relocate to Missouri and have means of reliable transportation.
