Team Overview
The Elected Leadership team is responsible for inspiring, developing and supporting our members to effectively pursue elected office as a path to help kids and their community. This position reports to the Senior Director of Candidate Development.
Position Summary
The Manager of National Data, Targeting and Field will be a member of LEE’s Elected Leadership team. The Manager will utilize advanced data management tools and techniques to conduct voter targeting and analysis for issue and electoral campaigns. This person will assist LEE Staff and candidates in developing targeting and data strategies to achieve their goals. Working closely with LEE Managers of Candidate Development (MCD), this position will sometimes be on the ground with campaigns to help implement their field plans. They are responsible for training member candidates and LEE staff in best practices to use specialized data tools and targeting tools.
The Manager will work with internal and external staff to establish best practices and standards for data collection, acquisition and preservation. They will provide data and technological guidance on issue and electoral campaigns as well as administer, support, and train users on voter file systems (Catalist and VAN). The Manager will be responsible for coordinating large-scale voter contact programs utilizing in‐house and vendor‐provided tools. They will generate targeted voter/member lists for paid and volunteer contact programs including mail, canvassing, on-line and phone and will support field and training efforts as needed.
