The Liuba for Congress campaign is hiring a Deputy Campaign Manager to help run an aggressive grassroots campaign to flip New York’s 2nd Congressional District. This is a compact district covering parts of two counties on Long Island about an hour outside of New York City. Our candidate is a 4th generation Long Islander, a grassroots community organizer, and has nearly two decades of experience in international development. We are looking for a passionate, hardworking individual who’s dedicated to helping elect Liuba Grechen Shirley in a DCCC-targeted race.
Role Overview
The Deputy Campaign Manager will work directly with the Campaign Manager to implement a comprehensive campaign plan. The Deputy CM should be a self starter, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and willing to work long hours. At least two cycles of campaign experience required. Prior management experience prefered. The Deputy CM will report to the Campaign Manager.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
Assist with campaign operations including but not limited to: securing office space, managing office needs, and coordinating events
Provide assistance to the Field Director on day to day aspect of the Field Program
Work with the Campaign Manager implement messaging program through both paid comms, social, and earned media
Help create an inclusive and welcoming work culture that is representative of NY-02
Required Skills & Background
Exceptionally well organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Two cycles of campaign experience required
At least one cycle of field experience required
Prior management experience prefered
Must have access to a vehicle, cellphone, and laptop
Spanish speakers, people of color, and women are encouraged to apply. Pay commensurate with experience.
