Job Title: Organizer 1 (Fixed-Term)

The Organizer 1 will work primarily to identify and develop member activists and leaders, mobilize workers to take workplace action on key issues, conduct outreach to organizational allies, and assist the State Director in planning and executing earned media events. This position is fixed-term, with an expected end date of November 8, 2016.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A well rounded understanding of the progressive movement;
• Some experience as an organizer;
• The ability to generate excitement and action around an issue or campaign;
• A strong desire to contribute to the collective understanding of what it takes to move workers on wage and benefit issues;
• An open mind to try new organizing strategies and tactics.
