Membership Assistant
The DSCC is seeking a creative, talented, and self-motivated individual interested in learning more about digital marketing and communications to fill the role of Membership Coordinator. This individual will help the marketing team maximize its capacity for fundraising by managing grassroots donor relations by supporting the Direct Marketing and Digital program's general operations. This position will report to the Deputy Direct Mail Director.
Responsibilities
Donor Relations
• Being the primary point of contact for grassroots donor relations — Digital and Direct Marketing — at the committee
• Answering phone calls and emails that require a live response
• Tracking and reporting on donor feedback and comments
Direct Marketing
• Work closely with our Deputy Direct Mail Director on our Telemarketing strategy. Will help keep track of all edits, approvals, and results for telemarketing.
• Help keep our direct mail and telemarketing programs on schedule.
• Participate in strategy meetings
Digital
• Working as part of a collaborative team to develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising and acquisition strategy
• Staying abreast of current technology and digital strategy and seeking new ways to utilize new technology and strategies
• Other duties as required
Required
• Commitment to the election of Democrats to the U.S. Senate and protecting our Democratic majority
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment. Candidates must be able to bring ideas to the table and take direction well.
• Superior time management, planning, troubleshooting, and communications skills
• Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects
Helpful, but not required
• Experience with telemarketing
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Familiarity with web-based CMS and CRM platforms
• Prior experience with Photoshop or other graphic design software

Digital Fundraising Writer and Manager
The DSCC is seeking a Digital Fundraising Manager for the Digital department in its Washington, D.C. office. The Digital Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the email program helping to develop a wide variety of content for the committee, including fundraising solicitations, advocacy emails, and website copy. They are expected to be a mid-level member of the digital fundraising team, and to participate in the collaborative development of the committee’s digital strategy. They will report to the Deputy Digital Director.
Responsibilities
• Working with the digital team to write and develop a wide variety of content for the committee, including fundraising solicitations, advocacy emails, petitions, and website copy.
• Ability to write abundant amounts of email copy, frequently with short deadlines is a plus
• Managing the day to day operation of the email program, including production, sending, quality control, and assessing results.
• Be a reliable member of our email production and sending team as needed.
• Managing social media content including writing Facebook posts and tweets.
• Working as part of a collaborative team to develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising and acquisition strategy
• Maximizing the effectiveness of the DSCC's digital fundraising, acquisition, and outreach programs

Required
• Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Candidates should be self-starters with the ability to take on projects and run with them.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment. Candidates must be able to bring ideas to the table and take direction well.
• Candidates must be politically minded, with a solid knowledge of the political landscape and the 2016 Senate races.
• Candidates must have an excellent eye for detail and proofreading.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS. Able to edit outside of a WYSIWYG
• Familiarity with web-based CMS and CRM platforms (Blue State Digital, NGPVAN, Salsa, ActionKit, etc.)

Digital Coordinator

Responsibilities
• Producing and sending email blasts; supporting the Digital program’s quality control by ensuring messages meet standards of grammar, accuracy, functioning links, etc.
• Assisting with maintenance of existing website and online content; creation of new content areas and interactive elements, including signup forms, donation pages, and other specialized content
• Helping to develop social media content and posting it on the committee's social media platforms
• Working as part of a collaborative team to develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising and acquisition strategy
• Staying abreast of current technology and digital strategy and seeking new ways to utilize new technology and strategies
• Maximizing the effectiveness of the DSCC's digital fundraising and acquisition programs
• Other duties as required
