Regional Paid Canvass Director(s)
Location: Texas 23rd Congressional District
Position Summary
The Texas Democratic Party is seeking an experienced Deputy Paid Canvass Director to work on competitive congressional race for the 2016 cycle. The Paid Canvass Director will work closely with TDP field leadership, serving as a point of contact on the ground, and are responsible for directing the day to day paid canvass operations for a congressional campaign. They are responsible for planning and executing the regional paid canvass field plan, supervising paid canvass operations, and are accountable for all quantitative and qualitative field metrics. The Regional Paid Canvass Director is also responsible for opening campaign offices and oversight of the field budget. They are also the main point of contact for all paid canvass data in their district.
Responsibilities
Qualifications and Requirements
· Understanding of targeting and metrics;
· Have at least one cycle of field management experience;
· Experience recruiting, hiring, training and managing a team;
· Commitment to establishing a culture of respect and community;
· Proficiency in VAN, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs;
· Experience developing, training and empowering volunteers;
· Positions will be based in TX-23rd CD
· Frequent travel required; Access to a vehicle
· Familiarity with Texas politics and experience in the Lone Star State is a plus, but not required
· Spanish Fluency Preferred
· Other duties as needed
