GROSSMAN HEINZ – SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Grossman Heinz is currently searching for a Senior Account Executive
to work closely with clients to develop and execute strategies,
projects, and campaigns.

Grossman Heinz is a public affairs firm specializing in government
affairs, grassroots mobilization, lobbying, and management consulting
for advocacy groups, labor unions, trade associations, campaigns, and
corporations. We bring decades of on the ground experience along with
the creativity and management expertise needed to help organizations
develop and execute a winning strategy. This position is based in
Connecticut in the Hartford area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with Grossman Heinz principals and colleagues, the Senior
Account Executive will:
- meet and liaise with clients to discuss and understand their work;
- devise and present strategies, projects, and campaigns that meet
clients’ needs and budgets;
- engage client staff and other consultants in the formulation of
concepts, strategies, plans and budgets;
- act as the link between clients and our firm and ensure that
communication flows effectively;
- negotiate with clients and our firm about the details of projects;
- manage budgets and project costs;
- produce and present client reports and project memos;
- monitor the effectiveness of our work;
- undertake administrative tasks as required;
- arrange and attend meetings;
- make 'pitches' to develop new business for the firm; and
- travel as necessary on firm business to Washington, DC, New York
City, and other locations for client meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 6-8 years, 4 election cycles, or equivalent of political,
union, or advocacy campaign experience
- Campaign management and field organizing experience strongly
preferred
- Understanding of complex public policy and the ability to translate
policy issues to multiple audiences
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Experience conducting presentations and trainings
- Experience in Connecticut politics or political consulting is a plus
