Happy Friday! This week in our virtual career platform we had two events. Between or resume review event and virtual career fair we had over 500 progressive professionals registered and ready to work! Thank you to everyone who was able to participate. We are grateful for our employers, including the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Accountable.US,  Community Catalyst, Clean Water Action, Alabama Values Progress and Progress Virginia, Progress Now, New Heights Communications, Fieldworks LLC, Lake Research Partners, Studio Mosaic, and Working Families Party. They made this an outstanding event. I talked with dozens  of folks myself and continue to be blown away by the quality of talent dedicated to working in progressive politics. You are all amazing. Which is critical because we have another critical election ahead and need to put everyone to work to protect this democracy.   If you weren’t able to attend and are interested in connecting with Progressive employers that are hiring, visit the Career Center to see hundreds of available positions. Helping connect talent with progressive organizations is just one part our mission. We really created GAIN Power to be a networking and marketing platform - and a place for folks to learn about each other. We’re all about building community for people dedicated to powering progressive politics and impacting democracy, elections, and advocacy. We’re building a unique home for progressive professionals that is much more than a job board. Our site functions like some other networking sites but our is only for our community.. The following are things you can do on GAIN Power Showcase your experience and work on your personal profile (check out mine for example). Create a organization company page Start or join a group. Check out our event and share yours. Advertise your programs or services. Jobs That Are Left Jobs That Are Left Substack We started using SubStack a few months ago to share jobs from the GAIN Power Career Center, events, and occasional other announcements after google took down our Jobs That Are Left google group for a few weeks.   We’re loving it as a social platform to share our work and to read and learn about others. If you are a job seeker, we encourage you to sign up for job alerts, which can email you jobs as they happen, or in digest, and limit your email alerts to jobs that fit within certain search parameters. And if you are an employer, we encourage you to post your jobs so they are shared with the entirety of the progressive community. This should help you attract diverse applicants of all sorts or personal and professional backgrounds. Have a fundraiser, training, or other event you want to promote to our community? Add it to the GAIN Power event calendar, it goes on our feed and we will share in this newsletter. We’re always eager to get your feedback and ideas about our work.
