A top tier 2017 Virginia statewide campaign is looking for a
qualified events coordinator to join the Finance Team.
Position Description
The events coordinator will report to the Deputy Finance Director.
She or he will play an important role in scheduling, planning, and executing
fundraising events to ensure monthly fundraising goals are
met and will provide support to the fundraising operation of
the campaign.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Coordinate with event host targets to schedule and execute multiple
events each week
· Help manage the events finance assistant
· Prepare and send fundraising materials, including invitations for events
· Identify and contact potential event attendees
· Supervise event call sheet development
· Staff fundraisers and prepare necessary briefing materials
· Track and follow-up on event pledges
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· A minimum of one cycle of campaign finance experience required
· Previous event building experience required
· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and NGP required
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in a fast-paced campaign atmosphere
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
· Ability to manage several tasks/projects at the same time
· Must have access to a car for duration of the campaign
