Legislative Caucus Director
The Kansas Democratic Party (KDP) is hiring a Legislative Caucus Director to work with Democratic House and Senate Candidates over the two-year 2020 campaign cycle. The Legislative Caucus Director will be responsible for helping to create and implement a campaign plan that includes fundraising, candidate recruitment, and support. This position reports to the Kansas Democratic Party Executive Director; however, the position will also work closely with the Party’s House and Senate Leadership and their legislative staff.
This is a full-time position located in Topeka, Kansas.

The Legislative Caucus Director should have a strong background in strategic planning including developing campaign benchmarks and clear objectives in the areas of field work, fundraising, and working with support teams. Superior project management skills are a must to make sure that campaign strategies and tactics adapt and change with the dynamics throughout the election cycle. The candidate needs superb judgment, political savvy, significant fundraising experience and success, and a work ethic of the highest degree. The preferred candidate will have a solid understanding of Kansas politics, elected officials, and major local political issues.
