Md. Congressman Seeks Campaign Staffer

Congressman John Sarbanes (MD-03) is seeking a campaign staffer for the 2020 election cycle. The staffer will work closely with the Congressman and members of the Congressman’s core staff to develop and implement a strategic campaign plan for grassroots organizing, communications, and fundraising to ensure success in the 2020 primary and general elections.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Congressman’s team to develop and execute a 2020 strategic campaign plan with field, communications, and finance components
Maintain and enhance relationships with local democratic clubs and organizations
Assist in managing vendors and consultants on behalf of the campaign
Maintain digital presence by managing political social media accounts and website
Assist the Congressman with donor outreach and fundraising
Represent the Congressman at Democratic Party meetings
Build campaign capacity by recruiting and training volunteers or interns
Organize and manage the political calendar
Staff the Congressman at political events
Qualifications:
At least one cycle of campaign experience
Willing to work full-time, with occasional nights and weekends
Self-starter who can work independently
Strong writing and interpersonal skills with a good sense of humor
Experience working with VAN and NGP
Familiarity with the Maryland political landscape a plus
Experience managing social media accounts for a professional organization a plus
Access to a car or viable transportation required
