Top-Tier State Senate campaign in Northeastern Illinois seeking a full-time Field Director to run an aggressive program targeting a vulnerable incumbent. The Field Director will be responsible for drafting and implementing a robust field plan, supervising Organizers and Interns, conducting community outreach, and staffing campaign events.


Primary Responsibilities include:

 

  • ·      Implementing and Executing the Field Plan.
  • ·      Train and Manage Field Organizers.
  • ·      Overseeing Walk/Phone Lists - By precinct priority as determined by FD and CM.
  • ·      Planning and executing regular voter contact and volunteer recruitment events.
  • ·      Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and activists to participate in grassroots activities such as door-to-door, phone banking and early voting to persuade and turn out voters. 
  • ·      Developing relationships with key political players, opinion leaders, and allied organizations to build our base of support in the District.
  • ·      Generating public awareness and support by engaging with grassroots and social media organizing.
  • ·      Set, meet and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement. Meeting daily reporting and data entry deadlines.

 

Skills Needed:

 

  • ·      Strong public speaking and outreach/organizing skills required.
  • ·      Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • ·      Ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, work well under pressure, be detail and goal oriented.
  • ·      Strong interpersonal skills; diplomatic and professional approach to problem solving.

 

Salary will commensurate with experience.
