FIELD ORGANIZERS

The Leticia Van de Putte for San Antonio Mayor campaign is hiring experienced, top-quality Field Organizers for its campaign.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Building and managing volunteer canvasses and call centers

• Reaching volunteer recruitment goals

• Planning and managing surrogate events

• Reaching direct voter contact (ID, persuade and GOTV) goals

• Coordinating GOTV efforts in region

• Training and coaching volunteers

• Outreach out to constituency groups, democratic clubs and organizations

Required Skills:

• Experience working for or volunteering on political campaigns

• Great time management and organization skills

• Ability to train and instruct volunteers

• Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally

• Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple priority projects and meet established timelines and goals

• Enjoys working with varied members of the general public

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Able to work until May 9, 2015 with no previously scheduled time off

• Long hours, nights and weekends

Ideal candidates will speak Spanish and have previous experience with the Voter Activation Network (VAN).
