ABOUT MILLENNIAL ACTION PROJECT
The Millennial
Action Project (MAP) has an audacious mission: make
political cooperation a norm through Millennial leadership. As polarization and
gridlock paralyzes America’s political system, our generation must create a new
politics and govern our nation into the future. MAP is a national, nonpartisan,
501(c)(3) nonprofit start-up dedicated to activating Millennial policymakers
and leaders to create post-partisan political cooperation. MAP and its work
have been featured in: Wall Street
Journal, New York
Times, NBC’s Meet
The Press, CNN, MSNBC’s
Morning Joe and ABC News, USA Today, POLITICO, National Journal, The Hill, Roll Call, BuzzFeed, C-SPAN,
and more.
In the wake of the 2013 government shut down, MAP organized the nation’s first and only bipartisan caucus for young members of Congress, the Congressional Future Caucus, forming a unique entrepreneurial governing environment for the next generation of leaders. MAP has scaled this model into the states—currently in 13 state legislatures—to create pragmatic common ground on future-oriented issues. This work has led to bipartisan achievements on issues such as entrepreneurship, technology, 21st century skills training, veterans' employment, immigration, volunteerism, and more—including the introduction of the first bipartisan legislation on social impact bonds. The national Advisory Board includes Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr., Governor Jennifer Granholm, U.S. Senator Olympia Snowe, and former U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra.
