Food and Water Watch is seeking activist-minded individuals to join our campaign staff. We are New Jersey's largest non-profit consumer advocacy group with a history of winning groundbreaking campaigns. Among other landmark victories, we've passed many fracking bans in towns and counties across the state, got Starbucks to stop using milk from cows treated with artificial growth hormones, and pioneered a truly community-based structure of organizing. Now we need you to help tackle a major issue in New Jersey - labeling genetically engineered foods.
We are currently looking for dependable, motivated
individuals to be part of our grassroots campaigns. Good communication and
reading skills are a must. You must also possess a genuine interest in
environmental and social justice issues. A background in environmental or
political science is preferred, but not required. This position is perfect for
students and non-students alike, with opportunities for long-term growth and
rapid advancement. This opportunity can serve as a paid internship for students.
* Hours are 2-10 pm, Monday through Friday * Part time employment is available at a minimum of three weekdays, you pick the days.
* Starting pay is $500-650 per week, with the opportunity to earn more.
