JOB: Organizing Representative (Sierra Club in Peoria, IL)

The Sierra Club seeks an organizer in Peoria, IL to build grassroots to help spur the transition to clean energy.      Peoria is home to the Edwards coal plant and has several big polluting coal plant right nearby.   You will join our team on campaigns to retire dirty coal plants and work with communities on just transition to clean energy.

 

Your job will be to recruit, engage; training grassroots volunteer leaders and build powerful alliances to achieve our campaign and build downstate Power.  You should be passionate about social justice, clean air and clean energy, have experience engaging and moving people to action, a sense of humor, and love of a good road trip.
