Donor Development Strategies is
hiring a team of canvass directors for our WETA Television and Classical WETA
90.9 FM fundraising office in Arlington, VA. Canvass Directors are responsible
for the day to day operations of their offices, for providing our partner
stations with the staffing and fundraising levels they have budgeted and for
managing the priorities of a rapidly growing company.
Donor Development Strategies
partners with Public Media stations to bolster their donor portfolios and
increase the scope of their marketing. We currently have teams of organizers in
11 different cities in the United States who are committed to engaging with
people face to face in order to spread the mission of our partner stations.
We
dramatically change the fundraising landscape for public media outlets and have
raised over $13 million nationwide, with millions more to come.
We believe in the power of people.
It takes an entire community of members to make public media possible, it takes
a dedicated team of organizers to inspire that community and it takes strong
leadership to develop those organizers. As a canvass director, we will train
you to become an industry leader and authority on nonprofit fundraising at the
grassroots level. You will learn how to build a team, how to work with high
profile clients and how to manage your own project. This is an opportunity to
make a dramatic impact on one of America's oldest and largest non-profits. We
encourage our directors to build strong relationships directly with the local station
and develop their own voices within our company.
As we grow, we want to hire those
hungry to be a part of our evolution. Are you the compelling leader we are
looking for?
