Political fundraising firm in DC is seeking a deputy-level position to aid in the advancement and fundraising of many political and non-profit clients. This position will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising plans for several clients, managing call time, helping to plan and execute low and high dollar events, and working on donor research and prospecting. This position will also work with database management and compliance programs for many clients. This opportunity provides a hands-on experience in the field of fundraising. The level of access to the members, electeds, and candidates themselves is unparalleled. Candidates should be hard working, organized, have the ability to multitask, and work independently.

Expectations include:

  • Work with the firm’s political and non-profit teams to implement several finance plans for many clients at one time
  • Work in conjunction with the treasurer and compliance staff of various campaigns; assist compliance staff with completion of campaign finance reports, as needed
  • Keep accurate accounting of all incoming donations; manage deposits; follow-up with thank you, etc.
  • Prepare background materials for clients
  • Staff and help organize fundraising events
  • Help to execute and coordinate logistics for national trips
  • Manage and staff call time, as needed
  • Currently based in the Washington, DC area

Qualifications:

  • 1 cycle of campaign finance experience, previous statewide or congressional campaign finance team experience (or equivalent) mandatory
  • Donor prospecting and research experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of Excel and Google Docs a must, NGP is preferred
  • Knowledge of RevUp and/or Numero a bonus
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, attention to details, and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
  • Time management skills are a must
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32,000 to $42,000 /year
