Position Description:
The Major Gifts Manager will play a critical role in securing donations and cultivating a base of major donor prospects nationally, and stewarding mid-range donors, with a goal of generating $1 million in new revenue in FY 2018. The Major Gifts Manager will: develop cultivation and solicitation plans for assigned prospects, conduct prospect research, attend major donor fundraising events throughout the year, and correspond monthly with visits, e-mails, phone calls, postcards, gift acknowledgements, distribution of press materials and other appropriate means of communication. The Major Gifts Manager will also help to support organizational leadership in the cultivation of their prospect portfolios, and will play a role in donor communications campaigns that will be used for donors of all levels, including special event outreach, newsletters, donor briefings and other fundraising vehicles.
The Major Gifts Manager reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement and works with the Deputy Director of Institutional Advancement, as well as the President, Managing Director, Director for Brand Strategy and Chief Writer, and senior staff members when required. The Major Gift Manager will be a dynamic, experienced development professional.

This position is in the staff bargaining union represented by Local 70 of the IFPTE.
Salary & benefits: $68,000 to $72,000 annual salary. CCC offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and an excellent benefits package, which includes four weeks of vacation; paid leave between December 24 and January 1; 3% employer contribution to 401k plan at time of hire and an additional 5% at six months of employment (8% employer contribution); and a choice of health insurance plans.
