About the campaign
Dave Cavell is running for the Massachusetts 4th Congressional district to bring youthful energy and progressive change to Washington. He plans to fight for a Green New Deal and a national plan to address the opioid crisis. As a former staffer in the Deval Patrick and Barak Obama administrations and as the Assistant Attorney General for Massachusetts, Dave has the experience in public service needed to pass serious reform.
About the role
We’re looking for local activists from Massachusetts to join our campaign as a Field Organizer! Field Organizers will be on the front line of building our grassroots efforts to engage with voters across the district. They will learn fundamental skills pertaining to volunteer recruitment, team management, and event planning.
Field Organizers are expected to work through the primary on September 1st, with the possibility of working up to the general election in November.
Primary Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers in assigned region to help build a large grassroots campaign to make phone calls to voters
Recruit new volunteers to persuade and turnout contacts in their existing network
Manage and maintain the existing volunteer base
Help manage digital organizing tools for volunteers use
Maintain databases and do data entry when necessary
Prepare call materials for volunteer activities when necessary
Plan and execute virtual campaign events centered around Dave’s policy positions and the concerns of the community
